Day Ten: Friday, September 10, 2021

Topic For The Day: O Thou That Hearest Prayer.

Text: Psalm 65: 2

God is always ready to answer the prayers of His children. He is always pleased to grant answer to our requests. He wants us to bring our requests to Him. Jesus often admonished His disciples to pray when He was here on earth with them. In the book of Luke chapter 18, He encourages us to pray always.

The psalmist acknowledged God as the God that answers prayers. But if God answers prayer, what are we supposed to do? The onus now lies on us to bring our requests to Him.

Because God answers prayers, He wants us to fervently bring our requests to Him. He admonishes us to pray without ceasing. Although He answers prayer, at times, in order to strengthen our prayer life, He encourages us to pray without ceasing by delaying an answer to our prayer. Some people think He is slothful to answer prayer that’s why He delays an answer to our prayer. It is not so. The reason why He delays to give an answer to our prayer is to strengthen our prayer life.

It was not difficult for Him to deliver Peter from prison without the prayer of the Church. But He allowed the Church to pray without ceasing before He delivered Peter from prison. The reason why He allowed them to pray without ceasing was to strengthen and equip them with the weapon of prayer. Henceforth, don’t allow the devil to deceive you that God doesn’t answer prayer. He does. Bring your request to Him with faith, He will surely answer you.

Daily Bible Reading: 1 Chronicles 4: 10; 1 Samuel 1: 9-19

Prayer Points:

  1. God, out of your infinite mercy, grant answers to all my petitions.
  2. Father in heaven, as you answered Hannah’s prayer, please, answer my prayers as well.
  3. Lord, grant me the grace of faith so that I can receive answers to all my petitions through faith.

Psalm 65:2 "O thou that hearest prayer, unto thee shall all flesh come."

Founder's Words

Having served under many men of God and ministries, it was never my wish to go into full time ministry or to start up a new work. All my life I have ran from full time but He that has time and season in His hands decided to lead us to start off a fellowship daily in my house. Little did we know that today, through this little fellowship a worship centre will be built by God.
